The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation and the Union Education Ministry’s SWAYAM Plus initiative to launch an AI-enabled HR Analytics programme. The first cohort, according to a statemnet issued by the Institute will start in January 2026. Candidates have time till December 30 to register for the programme. The programme is designed to equip learners with data-driven and AI-enabled HR capabilities aligned with emerging workforce and organisational demands.
The programme is spread over a four-month duration and includes two days of on-campus learning at IIT Madras. It features sessions led by IIT Madras faculty along with industry-experienced professionals specialising in HR analytics and artificial intelligence. Participants will also work on a hands-on, industry-focused HR Analytics capstone project that covers HR dashboards, AI applications in HR, predictive modelling, key HR metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
Highlighting the need for such initiatives to upskill the Indian students and professionals, Dr. M.J. Shankar Raman, Chief Executive Officer, IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, said, “This programme marks an important step toward transforming HR into a truly data-driven and AI-empowered function. By combining academic rigor with practical industry insights, we aim to prepare future-ready HR leaders who can drive meaningful impact in organisations of tomorrow.”
The HR Analytics Programme addresses the industry shift by integrating foundational HR concepts with advanced analytics, AI applications, ML-driven predictive models, and real-world case-based learning, the statement said.
The programme is ideal for students and working professionals — particularly entry to mid-level HR practitioners, aspiring HR leaders, and industry professionals from sectors including aviation, technology, and services.
IITM Pravartak Technologies is a Section 8 Company housing the Technology Innovation Hub on Sensors, Networking, Actuators and Control Systems, under its National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems and hosted by IIT Madras.
