SSC CGL Tier 1 Results Out: The Staff Selection Commission has declared the results of the Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) Tier 1 examination today, December 18. Around 28 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their qualifying status.
The SSC CGL Tier 1 results have been released in PDF format. Candidates who had appeared for the exam can check their qualifying status based on the roll-numbers mentioned in the SSC CGL 2025 result notice, on the official website at ssc.gov.in. The result document carries the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process. Along with the result PDF, candidates can also access their individual marks and the final answer key by logging in using their registration number and password.
The SSC CGL examination is being conducted to fill 14,582 Group B and Group C vacancies across various ministries, departments and organisations of the Government of India, including constitutional and statutory bodies and tribunals. These posts include positions such as Assistant Section Officer, Inspector, Auditor, Accountant and other comparable roles.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission at ssc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘Result’ tab available at the top of the page.
Step 3: Under the SSC CGL section, click on the link for ‘SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2025’.
Step 4: The result PDF will open on the screen; download it for future reference.

Step 5: Use the Ctrl+F option to search for your roll number in the PDF to check your qualifying status.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Results 2025 Out: What’s next for candidates?
With the Tier 1 results now declared, qualified candidates will move to the Tier 2 stage of the selection process. The Staff Selection Commission is expected to announce the SSC CGL Tier 2 examination dates shortly, and as per current indications, the exam is likely to be held in February 2026. Candidates who have not cleared Tier 1 will not progress further in this recruitment cycle and will have to appear again in the next SSC CGL examination.
There will be no separate registration process for SSC CGL Tier 2. Candidates who qualify Tier 1 are automatically eligible to appear for the Tier 2 examination, provided they meet the eligibility criteria specified for their respective posts.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Results 2025 Out: What is the exam pattern for Tier 2 exam?
The SSC CGL Tier 2 examination is conducted as a computer-based test and broadly consists of multiple papers. Paper I is compulsory for all candidates and includes sections on Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge.

Paper II is conducted for candidates applying for Junior Statistical Officer posts and focuses on Statistics, while Paper III is for Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer posts and tests knowledge of Finance and Economics.
The final merit list is prepared based on Tier 2 performance, subject to document verification and post preferences.
