The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025 application process is starting on January 17. The Karnataka Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET) 2026 application window will go live at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
To register for KCET 2026, candidates will have to keep certain documents ready. These are: SSLC or Class 10 mark sheet, Aadhaar Card, student’s mobile number with WhatsApp and email address. The scanned copies of photograph and signature will also be required in specified formats.
The KCET 2026 application fee is Rs 500 for the candidates belonging to the general category, Rs 250 for SC, ST, Rs 750 for candidates from outside Karnataka, and Rs 5,000 for candidates from abroad.
KCET 2026 will be held on April 23 and April 24. KCET 2026 for physics and chemistry will be conducted on April 23, and the KCET exam for mathematics and biology is set to be held on April 24. The KCET 2026 exam will be held in two shifts. The morning shift will be conducted from 10.30 am to 11.50 am and the afternoon shift from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm. The KCET exam will be conducted for a duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will be conducted on April 22 only at centres in Bengaluru, Belagavi, Vijayapura, and Mangaluru districts.
KCET will be held for admission to professional courses, including engineering, agriculture, veterinary, pharmacy and BSc (nursing).
While announcing the KCET 2026 dates, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) also released the dates of other exams. Karnataka DCET is set to be held on May 23, while PGCET will be held on May 14 and May 23. MSc Nursing, MPT, MSc AHS will be conducted on July 18, KSET on October 11 and MPharm and PharmD on November 21.
