Central Recruitment Board for Constables, Punjab Police invites Online Applications in the prescribed format from Indian citizens for direct recruitment to fill Group-C employee category Government Jobs vacancies of 3298 ‘Constables’ in the 2 cadres of (i) District Police, and (ii) Armed Police of Punjab Police for the year 2026. Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2026 Vacancies
- Constable: 3298 vacancies (District Cadre – 2522, Armed Cadre – 776), Consolidated Salary: Rupees ₹19900/- (minimum pay
admissible) at the Pay Level-2 of 7th CPC/Pay Matrix ₹19900-63200/-, Qualification: 10+2 or it’s equivalent from a recognized Education
Board/ University, Age: 18-28 years as of 01/01/2026
Selection Process
The selection process shall be a 2-stage process consisting of the following Tests:
- Stage I: Computer-Based Test consisting of two (2) multiple-choice Question Papers
to be conducted on the same day. - Stage II:
(i) Document Scrutiny
(ii) Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
(iii) Physical Screening Test (PST)
Note: Both Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test shall be qualifying in
nature.
Application Fee
An application fee of ₹1200/- to be paid through online mode only. The application fee is ₹500/- for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) of Punjab State
only/Lineal Descendants of ESM, ₹700/- for SC/ST of all States and Backwards
Classes of Punjab State only and EWS category candidates only.
