Job Description
The Department of
Accounting at John Sykes College of Business, University of Tampa, is seeking candidates for a one-year, full-time Lecturer of Accounting
position (non-tenure track) starting in August 2026.
Responsibilities
The teaching load is 12 credit hours per
semester. The department’s primary instructional needs are in financial accounting and managerial accounting.
Accounting faculty are
expected to actively engage with students and participate in departmental activities, including student and alumni events, faculty meetings,
and other service contributions, such as student advising, assurance of learning (AOL), and curriculum
development.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold at least a master’s degree in accounting from an AACSB-accredited
institution, possess relevant professional accounting experience, and have prior college-level teaching experience.
The ideal
candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student-centered teaching excellence and active engagement in extracurricular student
activities.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States.
