of Accountancy and Data Analytics, Master of Taxation and Data Analytics, and Ph.D. in Accountancy. All degree programs are accredited by

Description:
The University of Mississippi, Patterson School of Accountancy seeks to fill a visiting faculty position, in the
instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor role, beginning in the fall semester 2026. Visiting faculty in the
assistant, associate, and full professor roles would be welcome to apply to future openings for either tenure-track or clinical (i.e.,
non-tenure-track) positions. Visiting instructors would also be welcome to apply for future openings in an instructor role. Subject to
availability, there may be opportunities for summer teaching or research funding. Teaching responsibilities will take place primarily on the
Oxford campus and may include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students. Teaching responsibilities will be in the area of accounting
information systems and analytics, financial, cost/managerial, or governmental and nonprofit.
Experience and
Qualifications:
For an instructor role, a masters degree in accounting or taxation, an MBA, or a JD degree, and a CPA are
required, at a minimum. The successful applicant will have had experience in the accounting field, experience in university teaching, and be
dedicated to quality teaching and service to the School and University.
For an assistant, associate, or full professor role, an
earned doctorate from an AACSB-accredited university, a CPA, and university teaching experience are required. ABD candidates in advanced
stages of their dissertation with expected degree completion of no later than one year from their employment date will be considered. The
successful applicant will be dedicated to excellent teaching, professional service, and research engagement.
