McKinsey is testing a new hiring approach where recent graduates can use the management consultancy’s own AI assistant, Lilli, during job interviews. The aim is to reflect how consultants in the future are expected to work with AI tools, the Financial Times reports.
In the pilot program, candidates analyzed a case with the help of Lilli and were assessed on how well they formulated their questions, interpreted the answers, and put them in the context of the client. The test is not essential for employment but is intended to measure curiosity and judgment.
If the trial is successful, the AI element will be introduced into all recruitments. McKinsey itself declined to comment on the Financial Times’ report.
