The candidate will have to apply for CBO vacancies in 2026 in one State only. The selected candidates will be posted in the Circle/State against whose vacancy they are selected only.
The candidates applying for vacancies in a particular State should be proficient (reading, writing and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State (mentioned against each State). The test of knowledge of the specified opted local language of the applied state will be conducted as a part of the selection process

The interview will consist of 50 marks. Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in the interview to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.

SBI Circle Based Officers Recruitment 2026 Vacancies

• Circle Based Officers (CBO): 2273 vacancies (Current-2050, Backlog-223) in various circles in India, Age: 21-30 years as of 31/12/2025, Qualification:  Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government., Experience:  Minimum 2 years experience (as of 31/12/2025) as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank., Pay Scale: JMGS-I ₹48480-85920/-

Application Fee

An application fee of ₹750/- (₹125/- for SC/ST/PWD) to be paid online through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet
Banking.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on Online Written Test (to be held in the month of March 2026 tentatively), Screening and Interview.  The online written test will consist of an Objective Test of 2 hours for 120 marks and a Descriptive Test for 50
marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
The duration of the objective test is 2 hours and it consists of 4 Sections (English Language, Banking Knowledge,  General Awareness/ Economy and Computer Aptitude) for a total of 120 marks. The duration of the Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. It will be a Test of the English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions for a total of 50 marks.
