GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Instruct college-level courses in accounting. Additional
responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining office hours, serving on college committees, promoting and supporting the
department’s mission and goals, participating in extra-curricular activities, participating in professional development activities, working
across departments to develop student communication, computation, and problem-solving skills, and faculty evaluations. Faculty are expected
to accept courses as assigned, which could include non-traditional venues, such as evening, weekend, dual-credit, blended, and/or online
courses. This position reports to the Program Director of Accounting/Economics and exercises no supervision. NOTE: This is a security
sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in
accounting and/or business with at least 18 graduate hours in accounting
Experience: Three years of work experience in
business/industry
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Recent teaching experience at the college
level

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical effort-restricted: Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for
prolonged periods.
Light lifting (less than 30 lbs.), some walking, pushing and pulling on a regular basis. Work environment: Minimal
hazard/exposure: Standard
office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
