Position Details
The Department of Accounting in the John H. Sykes
College of Business at The University of Tampa is seeking applications for part-time instructors to teach undergraduate financial accounting
and managerial accounting courses (ACC 202 and ACC 203).
Responsibilities will include:
1. Teaching one or two
course(s) per semester.
2. Creating syllabus(es) for students each semester to include learning objectives consistent with The
University and the College of Business mission statement (course objectives and sample syllabi provided).
3. Providing meeting times
for students.
4. Managing the online/paperwork grading system, including training prior to the first semester of teaching.
5.
Meeting with the course coordinator and/or department chair.
A Successful Candidate will have:
1. At least 18 graduate
credits in accounting are required. A Master’s degree in accounting is preferred.
2. At least 3 years of full-time experience as a
professional accountant.
3. Active professional designation such as CPA, CMA, etc., is preferred.
4. Teaching experience
preferred.
