Position Summary
The Department of Business & Economics at Salve Regina University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer (non-tenure track) position beginning August 2026. The primary teaching responsibilities for this position will include introductory accounting and foundational business analytics. The successful candidate will teach a standard 4/4 course load, with emphasis on ACC-101 (Financial Accounting), ACC-104 (Managerial Accounting), and MGT-160/MGT-030 (Business Analytics and Excel-Based Decision Making). Experience preparing students for industry-recognized Excel certification is welcome. Ability to teach introductory finance (such as MGT-270: Financial Management) is strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach undergraduate courses, particularly:
- ACC-101: Financial Accounting
- ACC-104: Managerial Accounting
- MGT-160 and/or MGT-030: Business Analytics / Excel for Business Decision Making
- (Preferred) Teach introductory finance (e.g., MGT-270: Financial Management)
- Support student learning and inclusive engagement in the classroom.
- Participate in curriculum development and assessment initiatives.
- Advise and mentor students academically and professionally.
- Contribute to departmental and University service activities.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Relevant professional industry experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, business analytics, or related area.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts clearly and support student learning.
- Commitment to Salve Regina University’s Mercy values, including respect for the dignity of all persons and service to the community.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or similar credentials.
- Teaching or training experience in accounting, analytics, or Excel-based business applications.
- Experience preparing students for Microsoft Excel Associate/Expert Certification.
- Ability to teach introductory finance.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation college students.
