TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Result 2025: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) on December 22 released the Group 2 Preliminary examination result. Candidates who appeared for the exam are now awaiting the release of the results can check the official website, tnpsc.gov.in. The official answer key and response sheet were released in September.
The Commission said that the TNPSC Group 2 answer key is expected to be released within two or three days.
Along with the preliminary results, the Commission has also published the list of register numbers of candidates provisionally admitted to the Main Examination for the Combined Civil Services Examination-II (Group-IIA Services), based on the preliminary exam held on September 28, 2025.
The result PDF contains the registration numbers of candidates who have cleared the preliminary stage and are now eligible to appear for the main examination. The admission list, titled the “List-Main Examination,” confirms the candidates selected for the next phase of the recruitment process.

3. Select the link that mentions the TNPSC Group 2 Result 2025 or the admission list for the Main Examination.
4. The result will be displayed in PDF format containing the register numbers of candidates who have qualified. Download and save it for reference.

5. Open the PDF and search your register number to confirm whether you have been shortlisted for the mains.
TNPSC has also shared details regarding the Main Examination schedule. The mains will be held on February 8, 2026, and will consist of two papers:
Paper-I: Tamil Eligibility Test (Descriptive) – afternoon session
Paper-II: General Studies, General Intelligence & Reasoning (Objective/OMR method) – forenoon session
TNPSC has clarified that provisional admission to the mains is based on performance in the prelims as well as on claims made in the online application regarding age, educational qualifications, reservation category, and other eligibility conditions. Candidates listed under List-I in the published document are eligible for all posts under Group-IIA services, provided they meet the required educational criteria. Candidates listed under List-II and List-III will be considered only for specific posts based on their claimed educational or technical qualifications, irrespective of marks scored in the mains.
