Bihar STET 2025 Result Declared: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) chairman Anand Kishor announced the result of the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 on January 5, 2026. Candidates can check their results on the official website, bsebstet.org, by visiting the result link and logging in using their user ID and password.
In Bihar STET 2025, a total of 4,42,214 candidates appeared, including 2,46,415 candidates in Paper 1 (for eligibility to teach Classes 9 and 10), comprising 1,07,229 female and 1,39,186 male candidates, and 1,95,799 candidates in Paper 2 (for eligibility to teach Classes 11 and 12), including 71,178 female and 1,24,621 male candidates, as per a statement by BSEB.
The examination was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode between October 14 and November 16, 2025. Of the total candidates who appeared, 2,56,301 candidates (1,04,167 female and 1,52,134 male) have qualified, taking the overall pass percentage to 57.96 per cent.
In Paper 1, STET was held for 16 subjects. Out of 2,46,415 candidates, 1,54,145 qualified, with a pass percentage of 62.56 per cent.
In Paper 2, examinations were conducted for 29 subjects. Of the 1,95,799 candidates, 1,02,156 aspirants qualified, recording a pass percentage of 52.17 per cent.
The minimum qualifying marks prescribed for STET 2025 are as follows: General category – 50 per cent; Backward Classes – 45.5 per cent; Extremely Backward Classes – 42.5 per cent; Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes – 40 per cent; Persons with Disabilities – 40 per cent; and Women – 40 per cent.
All candidates who have qualified in Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be issued STET eligibility certificates by the board.

The questions in STET 2025 were multiple-choice, with one mark awarded for each question. There was no negative marking for incorrect answers. The paper consisted of 150 questions carrying a total of 150 marks, including 100 marks for subject content and 50 marks for teaching aptitude and related competencies.
The examination was conducted at 23 centres across nine districts — Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Munger, Saharsa, Bhojpur, and Purnea—in two shifts per day.
Online applications for STET 2025 were accepted from September 19 to October 5, 2025.
