Bihar BSEB STET Result 2025: The chairman of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna on January 5 announced the results of the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 at Sinha Library at 4:15 pm. Candidates who appeared for the STET will be able to check and download their scorecards from the official website, bsebstet.org.
A total of 4,42,214 candidates appeared for the examination, including 2,46,415 candidates in Paper 1 (for eligibility to teach Classes 9 and 10) — comprising 1,07,229 women and 1,39,186 men — and 1,95,799 candidates in Paper 2 (for eligibility to teach Classes 11 and 12), including 71,178 female and 1,24,621 male candidates.
The Bihar STET 2025 was conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode between October 14 and November 16, 2025. The exam was held in two phases — Paper I for candidates seeking eligibility to teach Classes 9 and 10, and Paper II for those aspiring to teach Classes 11 and 12 in government secondary and senior secondary schools across the state.
Following the examination, BSEB released the provisional answer keys for both papers on November 24, allowing candidates to raise objections within the stipulated timeframe. The objection window remained open until November 28, after which the board undertook a detailed review of the challenges submitted by candidates. The final STET results are being prepared after incorporating valid objections.
Once declared, candidates can access their STET 2025 results by logging in with their registered user ID and password or date of birth. The scorecard will mention details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, subject, marks obtained, and qualifying status.
To qualify the Bihar STET, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the board. As per existing norms, general category candidates are required to score 50 per cent, while candidates belonging to reserved categories — including BC, EBC, SC, ST, PwD, and women — need to obtain 40 to 45.5 per cent, depending on their category.
The qualifying STET does not guarantee an appointment. The eligibility certificate allows candidates to participate in future teacher recruitment drives conducted by the Bihar government or concerned authorities. Selection and appointment depend on subsequent recruitment processes, merit lists, and vacancy requirements.
