The National Testing Agency (NTA) website on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 – neet.nta.nic.in – on January 10 uploaded the syllabus of the medical entrance test.
The syllabus for NEET UG 2026 had earlier been notified by the National Medical Commission (NMC) via Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB). NTA has now issued a public notice confirming that the document is being hosted on its official website for the benefit of candidates.
According to the notice, NEET UG has been conducted by NTA since 2019 with the approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Education, in line with directions of the Supreme Court of India. The agency reiterated that the syllabus for NEET UG 2026 was finalised by UGMEB, NMC, and published earlier through a public notice dated December 22, 2025.

The detailed syllabus outlines the topics to be covered for the upcoming UG medical entrance examination. Candidates have been advised to strictly follow this syllabus while preparing for NEET UG 2026, as the examination will be conducted entirely based on the content notified by NMC.
Students can access the syllabus either on the NMC’s official website, nmc.org.in, or on the NTA’s NEET website. NTA has emphasised that hosting the syllabus on its portal is meant to avoid confusion and ensure that candidates rely on the officially approved and notified curriculum.
Earlier this month, on January 5, the NTA NEET website had issued a notice asking candidates to update their Aadhaar details, and with the syllabus now being hosted, the agency appears to be gearing up for the release of the NEET UG 2026 notification and examination schedule.
