XAT 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2026 will be held on January 4. The duration of the test will be of three hours — from 2 pm to 5 pm. The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur conducts XAT for full-time and virtual learning programmes leading to a diploma or a certificate. The official website xatonline.in is hosting the XAT 2025 admit card. Candidates appearing for the exam can download the XAT hall tickets from the official website.
Candidate’s biometric details will be captured on the day of the exam.
XAT 2026: Documents required in the exam centre
– Printed copy of the admit card
– An authorized photo ID card. The name on the photo identification must match the name as shown on the Admit Card.
The XAT 2024 consists of two parts – part 1 is aptitude test (170 minutes) and part 2 is general knowledge (10 minutes). The candidates can choose any section to begin with. In the unlikely case of a technical glitch the candidate will be shifted to another terminal without any loss of time, a statement in the official website read.
PwD candidates have the flexibility to submit their answers between 170 and approximately 226.67 minutes for Part 1 and 10 minutes and 13.33 minutes for Part 2. Therefore, PwD candidates may exit the lab between 180 and 240
minutes, depending on test completion.
XAT 2026 marking scheme
Marks per question: Each question carries 1 mark, with 95 questions expected.
Negative Marking for Incorrect Answers: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
Penalty for Skipping Questions:
You can skip up to 8 questions without any penalty.
For each question skipped after the 8th one, a penalty of 0.1 marks per question will be applied.
The GK section has no negative markings. It will not contribute to your overall percentile or cutoff score but will be considered in the selection process.
