The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj, will conduct the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) 2026 on July 2, 3, and 4 for candidates seeking eligibility to teach at the primary and upper primary levels in government schools across the state.
As per reports, UPTET was last held on January 23, 2022.
The commission released the examination schedule for other exams as well. The Assistant Professor recruitment exam will be held on April 18 and 19, 2026. It was initially scheduled for April 16 and 17, 2025, later shifted to September 4, 2025, before being cancelled altogether. The UP Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) exam is slated for May 9 and 10, 2026, while the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) examination will be conducted on June 3 and 4, 2026.
Candidates can access the detailed UPESSC exam calendar 2026 by visiting the official website upessc.up.gov.in. On the homepage, they need to click on the ‘Exam Calendar’ link available under the notice board section, where the schedule is available in the PDF format for download.
UPESSC has advised candidates to strictly follow examination guidelines, warning that any involvement in unfair practices could lead to disqualification. With firm dates now in place, aspirants finally have a clear timeline to plan their preparation for one of the most crucial teaching eligibility examinations in Uttar Pradesh.
