Indian Institute of Management Ranchi has released its final placement report for the 2025–26 academic session, reporting participation from 96 companies across programmes and salary outcomes across MBA, MBA-HRM, MBA-BA and Executive MBA cohorts.
According to the institute, the highest package recorded this year was Rs 1.2 crore, offered to a student from the Executive MBA (EMBA) 2024–26 summer batch. For the flagship MBA programme, the highest annual package stood at Rs 52.50 lakh.
Overall placement trends and participation
The institute reported a 4.19% increase in the highest domestic CTC compared to the previous year. According to IIM Ranchi, student intake increased by 31.15% over the previous batch, while pre-placement offer (PPO) participation and average salaries among top percentile groups also recorded growth.
A total of 96 companies participated in the placement process, with the Corporate Relations team engaging with 53 new recruiters during the academic session. The institute also reported that more than 70 industry leaders conducted sessions on campus.
MBA placements: salary data and PPOs
Among MBA students, 72.83% were freshers and 42.93% were female candidates. A total of 60 companies extended offers to MBA participants.
The highest annual package for MBA students was Rs 52.50 lakh, while the overall average salary stood at Rs 19.24 lakh. The top 25% of students recorded an average package of Rs 24.83 lakh.
According to the placement report, 22.35% of MBA students secured pre-placement offers, with an average PPO salary of Rs 19.28 lakh. The institute also reported a 23.12% increase in average summer internship stipends, which stood at Rs 3.69 lakh.
MBA-HRM placements

For the MBA in Human Resource Management programme, 40.54% of students secured pre-placement offers. The average PPO salary was Rs 18.86 lakh.
The highest annual package in the MBA-HRM programme was Rs 22.75 lakh. The top 25% of students recorded an average salary of Rs 20.95 lakh, while the overall average stood at Rs 17.74 lakh.
MBA-BA placements
In the MBA in Business Analytics programme, the highest salary increased by 22.16% compared to the previous batch. The highest annual package offered was Rs 32.13 lakh. The top 25% of students recorded an average salary of Rs 27.81 lakh, while the overall average stood at Rs 20.99 lakh. According to the institute, 13.16% of MBA-BA students received pre-placement offers.
Students from this programme were recruited across sectors such as banking, consulting, IT and analytics, financial services and fintech.
Sectoral participation and recruiters

According to IIM Ranchi, recruiters participated across sectors including IT and IT-enabled services, banking and financial services, consulting, logistics and supply chain, automotive and defence.
Companies that participated in the placement process included Amazon, SAP Labs, D. E. Shaw, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, HSBC, Tata Capital, Aditya Birla Group, National Payments Corporation of India, Deloitte, Accenture, Maruti Suzuki and Cognizant.
Recently, the institute has also opened admissions for the Executive MBA (EMBA) 2026–28 summer batch. According to IIM Ranchi, the programme is targeted at working professionals seeking to advance into leadership roles.
