About UPSSSC

The State Government of Uttar Pradesh established a Subordinate Services Selection Board (SSSB) through an Ordinance in 1988 for direct recruitment to all group ‘C’ government job posts. Subsequently, it was replaced by the name Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC). UPSSSC recruit staff for various departments/organisations of Government of Uttar Pradesh (UP).

UPSSSC Statistical/Research Officer Recruitment 2026 Vacancies

• Assistant Statistical Officer: 916 vacancies in various departments
• Assistant Research Officer (Statistics): 13 vacancies in various departments in the UP Government

Eligibility Criteria

• Age: 21-40 years as on 01/07/2026
• Pay Scale: Pay Level-6 of 7th CPC ₹35400-122400/-
• Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Commerce, Economics or Statistics or equivalent qualification recognised by the government. (ii) ‘O’ level diploma or one-year diploma in computer science from any recognised university/institute.

Application Fee

An application fee of ₹25 of online processing fee to be paid online or in SBI by a payment challan.
