About the Role:
The Assistant Professor of Accounting plays a pivotal role in advancing the academic mission of the institution by delivering high-quality education in accounting principles and practices. This position teaches undergraduate accounting courses that support the institution’s business programs, which are accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). The role involves developing and teaching courses that prepare students for successful careers in business and related fields.
The Assistant Professor of Accounting is also expected to engage in ongoing professional development and scholarly activities that contribute to the discipline of accounting and enhance the institution’s academic reputation. In addition, the position includes service responsibilities such as curriculum development, student mentoring, and participation in departmental and college committees. Ultimately, this role aims to foster a dynamic learning environment that cultivates critical thinking, ethical standards, and professional competence among students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master’s in Accounting or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching accounting at the college level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
- Experience teaching a diverse student population in various instructional formats, including online and hybrid courses.
- Familiarity with current accounting software and data analytics tools.
- Active participation in professional accounting organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lectures and course materials for accounting subjects at undergraduate level.
- Mentor students on academic progress, career planning, and professional development.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and contribute to community outreach and professional service.

The required skills enable the Assistant Professor to design comprehensive curricula that meet academic standards and industry expectations, ensuring students gain relevant knowledge and practical skills.
