As India accelerates its transition towards a cleaner, more resilient and investment-driven energy ecosystem, the spotlight will turn to Jaipur on Thursday, where policymakers, diplomats, industry leaders and technology experts will gather for the Rajasthan Energy Conclave 2026 at the Marriott Hotel.
Organised by ETGovernment – The Economic Times in partnership with Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL), the conclave is themed “Shaping India’s New Energy Economy” and is expected to serve as a major platform for discussions on renewable energy, grid transformation, industrial decarbonisation, investment opportunities and international collaboration.
The event comes at a strategically important moment for Rajasthan, which has emerged as one of India’s most ambitious renewable energy destinations. With vast solar and wind resources, large-scale policy interventions and rapidly expanding green infrastructure, the state is positioning itself at the centre of India’s clean energy transformation.
The conclave is expected to reflect this larger transition—from conventional power generation to a future defined by green hydrogen, renewable manufacturing, energy storage systems, transmission modernisation and sustainable industrial growth.
The inaugural session, beginning at 9.30 AM, will bring together some of the most influential voices from government, diplomacy and the energy sector. The Chief Guest for the event will be Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who is expected to outline Rajasthan’s broader development and investment vision in the context of India’s evolving energy economy.
Under his leadership, the Rajasthan government has been actively working to attract investments in renewable energy generation, transmission infrastructure, industrial manufacturing and green technologies.
The opening session will also feature Heera Lal Nagar, State Minister (Independent charge ), Energy, Government of Rajasthan, who has been closely associated with the state’s efforts to strengthen energy infrastructure and accelerate renewable capacity expansion. Senior administrative leadership from the state government will also participate in the session, including V. Srinivas, Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, and Arti Dogra, Secretary, Energy, Government of Rajasthan, both of whom are expected to discuss policy implementation, governance reforms and the administrative roadmap for Rajasthan’s energy transition.
The role of public sector institutions in driving this transformation will be represented by Rohit Gupta. As the co-host partner to the conclave, Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited has been playing a central role in facilitating renewable energy projects and strengthening the state’s green energy ecosystem.
The conclave will also underline the growing international dimension of India’s energy transition. The inaugural session will feature diplomatic participation from Europe, including Sinisa Pavic, Ambassador of Serbia to India, and Vakhtang Jaoshvili, Ambassador of Georgia to India. Their participation reflects the increasing global interest in India’s energy market and the expanding opportunities for international cooperation in areas such as renewable technologies, sustainable infrastructure, energy security and industrial partnerships.
Beyond the inaugural session, the Rajasthan Energy Conclave is expected to host a series of high-level discussions focused on renewable energy investments, power sector reforms, smart grids, battery storage technologies, industrial electrification, green mobility and the future of sustainable urbanisation. Industry leaders, investors, technology providers and policymakers are expected to deliberate on how India can build a globally competitive and future-ready energy ecosystem while balancing affordability, reliability and sustainability.
The event is also likely to highlight Rajasthan’s growing strategic importance in India’s clean energy ambitions. The state has emerged as one of the country’s leading renewable energy hubs due to its geographical advantages, policy support and infrastructure push. As India moves towards ambitious renewable energy and net-zero targets, Rajasthan’s role in solar power generation, green hydrogen development and energy-intensive industrial growth is expected to become increasingly significant.
At a time when energy security, climate resilience and industrial competitiveness are becoming deeply interconnected, the Rajasthan Energy Conclave aims to position Jaipur as an important venue for shaping conversations around India’s next phase of economic and energy transformation.
