Bhopal: In a significant step towards advancing Madhya Pradesh’s long-term economic vision, ETGovernment – The Economic Times, in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Limited (MPIDC), is organising the Viksit Madhya Pradesh Conclave 2026 in Bhopal on Wednesday.
The conclave will serve as a premier policy and investment platform, bringing together government leaders, policymakers, industry stakeholders, investors, financial institutions and technology providers to deliberate on strategies that can accelerate the state’s journey towards becoming a trillion-dollar economy.
The event aims to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s development roadmap while fostering stronger government-industry collaboration to position the state as a competitive and emerging investment destination aligned with India’s growth ambitions.
The conclave will be inaugurated by Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, who will deliver the keynote address during the inaugural session titled “Transforming Madhya Pradesh into a Trillion-Dollar Economy.” The session will also feature Rakesh Singh, Minister for Public Works Department, and Chetanya Kumar Kashyap, Minister for MSME, as Guests of Honour, along with Anurag Jain, Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Industry perspective will be presented by Er. Sanjeev Agrawal, Founder Chairman, SAGE Group.
Designed as a comprehensive platform for policy dialogue and investment promotion, the conclave will cover a wide range of themes central to Madhya Pradesh’s growth agenda. Discussions will focus on infrastructure development, industrial expansion, ease of doing business, digital governance, energy transition, urban transformation, public safety, skills development, startups and employment generation.
A special session on AI-Powered Madhya Pradesh: Driving Smart Governance through Display Solutions will explore the role of emerging technologies in enhancing governance outcomes. The conclave will also feature dedicated addresses by senior bureaucrats on governance reforms, law and order, urban development, energy security and renewable energy adoption.
Senior government officials scheduled to speak include Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department; and Manu Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary, New and Renewable Energy Department; Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration Department and Sanjay Dubey, Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department.
The event will host a series of high-level panel discussions examining critical pillars of Madhya Pradesh’s economic transformation. The first panel, “Infrastructure-Led Growth – Building the Backbone of a $1 Trillion Economy,” will bring together experts from urban development, road infrastructure, academia, and industry to discuss the state’s infrastructure priorities.
Another key discussion, “Driving Investment Growth – Policy Reforms & Ease of Doing Business in Madhya Pradesh,” will feature representatives from MPIDC, Invest India, Deloitte, Innovation Norway, and industry leaders to explore strategies for attracting domestic and global investments.
The conclave will also spotlight Digital Governance & Emerging Technologies, with policymakers, district administrators, technology experts, and academic leaders discussing innovations that can enhance public service delivery and citizen engagement.
As sustainability becomes an increasingly important component of economic growth, dedicated sessions on Power Sector Reforms, Grid Modernisation & Energy Security and Accelerating Renewable Energy & Green Hydrogen for a Sustainable Madhya Pradesh will examine the state’s clean energy ambitions. These discussions will culminate in a panel on Energy Transition & Sustainability, bringing together experts from government, regulatory bodies, international institutions and industry.
Recognising the role of entrepreneurship and human capital in driving inclusive development, the conclave will conclude with a panel discussion on “MSMEs, Startups, Skills & Employment – Driving Inclusive Economic Growth.” The session will focus on strengthening the innovation ecosystem, enhancing workforce readiness, and creating sustainable employment opportunities across sectors.
Through a day-long exchange of ideas, policy insights and investment opportunities, the ETGovernment Viksit Madhya Pradesh Conclave 2026 seeks to reinforce Madhya Pradesh’s position as one of India’s most promising growth destinations while charting a collaborative roadmap for sustainable and inclusive economic development.
