Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) is looking for Bright, Committed and Energetic Engineering Graduates to join the PGCIL fold as Engineer Trainees and invites online applications for recruitment and filling the following Government Job vacancy positions of Engineer Trainees in various engineering disciplines through GATE-2026. Power Grid Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2026 Vacancies
- Engineer Trainee (Electrical): 250 vacancies (UR-98, EWS-24, OBC-72, SC-38, ST-18) (PWD-22)
- Engineer Trainee (Civil): 48 vacancies (UR-19, EWS-4, OBC-14, SC-8, ST-3) (PWD-2)
- Engineer Trainee (Computer
Science): 21 vacancies (UR-9, EWS-2, OBC-5, SC-4, ST-1)
Age: 28 years as on 31/12/2025
Pay Scale: The Stipend during the training period will be ₹40000/- monthly, along with IDA, HRA and Perks @12% of basic
pay during the training period for the pay scale ₹40000-3%-140000/- (IDA). The candidates, after successful completion of the training, will be placed as Assistant Engineer in the pay scale E-2 ₹50000-3%-160000/- (IDA).
Qualification: Full-time B.E./B.Tech./ B.Sc.(Engg.) from a recognised University/Institute with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, AND a Valid Score in GATE 2026 only. The candidate should have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE 2026. GATE score of 2025 or prior is not valid.

An application fee of ₹500/- to be paid online. SC/ST/PWD/Ex-SM candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
