The Shield’s School of Business at Saint Francis University invites applications for a full-time
9-month non-tenured faculty position in Accounting. This position is responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in
financial accounting, managerial accounting, advanced accounting, auditing, taxes, and CPA Review, plus other business-related courses as
needed. The successful candidate will start Spring 2026 and will be open to teaching mainly in person; also, web-enhanced and online
teaching through Canvas Learning Management System with support from our Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is expected. The
successful candidate will be expected to teach up to 12 credits per semester (Fall & Spring) with exact courses determined by
departmental needs. Rank will be commensurate with degree and experience.
Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, a
willingness to mentor students, and the ability to work collaboratively with others, as well as serve on the Shield’s School of
Business and University committees. Opportunities to work with local community businesses through the Small Business Development Center and
strong desire to contribute to a small comprehensive university with strong traditions in accounting, business administration, and general
education.
A master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (MBA), CPA Certification, plus at least two or
more years of industry experience in public or private accounting required. A Ph.D. or D.B.A. in accounting or closely related field is
preferred. Prior college teaching experience is a plus.
