The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued the exam city intimation slip for the KVS and NVS Recruitment Tier 1 examination. Candidates registered to appear in the recruitment process for various teaching and non-teaching posts in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) can check their city of exam from the candidate portal.
The exam city slip has been made available on the official websites — cbse.gov.in, kvsangathan.nic.in and navodaya.gov.in. Through this facility, candidates can check their allotted examination city along with the exam date and shift timing, helping them plan travel and logistics in advance. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 15,762 vacancies across KVS and NVS.
KVS, NVS Tier 1 exam dates and shift-wise schedule
The Tier 1 examination will be conducted over two days in January 2026, with multiple shifts scheduled for different posts.
On January 10, 2026, the morning shift from 9:30 am to 11:30 am will be held for the posts of Primary Teacher, Junior Secretariat Assistant and Lab Attendant. The examination duration for this shift will be two hours. On the same day, the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm will be conducted for Multi-Tasking Staff posts under the headquarters and regional office cadre.
On January 11, 2026, the morning shift scheduled from 9:30 am to 11:30 am will be held for Assistant Commissioner, Principal, Vice Principal and Post Graduate Teacher posts. The afternoon shift on the same day, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, will cover Trained Graduate Teacher and miscellaneous teaching posts. This shift will also include Librarian, Administrative Officer, Finance Officer, Junior Translator, Assistant Engineer, Assistant Section Officer, Senior Secretariat Assistant, Stenographer Grade I and Stenographer Grade II posts.

Step 1: Visit the official website at examinationservices.nic.in/recsys2025 or cbseit.in/cbse/2025/nvsr.
Step 2: Click on the recruitment drive or exam city intimation slip link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter the required details such as category, registration number, date of birth and security code.
Step 4: Submit the details to view the exam city slip on the screen.
Step 5: Check details including name, exam city or state, exam date, shift timing and post applied for.
Step 6: Download the slip and take a printout for future reference.

Candidates should note that the admit card, which will contain complete details of the examination centre address and reporting time, will be released two days before the exam date. Applicants are advised to regularly check the official CBSE, KVS and NVS websites for further updates related to the recruitment process.
