UGC NET December 2025 Answer Key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on January 7 concluded the UGC NET examination 2025 for December session. The exam was conducted between December 31 and January 7, which saw the participation of 7,35,592 candidates. The attendance rate of the students also remained stable between 71 per cent to 75 per cent on all the UGC NET December 2025 exam days, according to data shared by the agency.
As exams are over, students are waiting provisional answer keys. Observing the last few years’ trend, the Agency release answer keys within two weeks after the exam’s last day. In June 2025, examination NTA issued the provisional answer keys on July 5. In the June session, exams were conducted from 25 June 2025 to 29 June.

In the December session 2024, the provisional answer keys were released on February 1 for the exams that were held between January 3 and 27.
After issuing the provisional answer keys, NTA gives two days to all the candidates to challenge and raise objections with a fee of Rs 200 per question. The challenge can be supported by documents in which a candidate can select and upload the file. Here is how aspirants can raise objections and download the answer keys.
UGC NET December 2025 Answer Key: How to download
Step 1: Visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: Log in using credentials like application number, date of birth and Captcha code.
Step 3: Download the answer script provided by the NTA, and download your answer script also.

Step 4: Candidates have to match the answer script using the question ID provided.
Step 5: In case of objections, candidates will have to select the answer they find correct and have to attach a PDF for the evidence supporting their claim
Step 6: Once done, pay the fees and download the receipt.
The UGC NET exam was conducted for 83 different subjects, including Hindi, English, French, Spanish, sociology, visual arts, mass communication and journalism and more. The question paper was in English and Hindi medium only except for the language papers and each question carried two marks. There was no negative marking for any wrong attempts.
