The Odisha government will introduce 55 new textbooks for classes 1 to 8 from the next academic year, officials said on Friday. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting, chaired by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. State School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond and senior officers attended the meeting.
