IIT Roorkee has started its placement process for the 2025–26 academic year. According to an official statement, students and recruiters participated actively from the opening slot, marking the beginning of the institute’s annual recruitment cycle.
The institute has collaborated with organisations across sectors, with roles concentrated in artificial intelligence, data analytics, semiconductor technology, sustainability and core engineering domains. The partnerships, according to the official statement, have been structured to reflect current industry requirements and student specialisations.

At the close of the 1.1 slot on Day 1, IIT Roorkee recorded 8 international offers and 428 domestic offers. More offers are expected as the remaining Day 1 sessions progress. The institute noted that the early numbers indicate an improvement over the same period last year.

The institute expects the momentum to continue through subsequent slots, with more organisations scheduled to conduct processes over the next several days.
