Position Description
We seek a dynamic teacher for our accounting program. The College of Business at Valparaiso
University invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Accounting (https://www.valpo.edu/college-of-business/). Valparaiso University

lead and serve both church and society. Located one hour southeast of Chicago on a 310-acre campus, Valpo is a comprehensive liberal arts
university with an enrollment of 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students. Valpo is consistently recognized as one of the Midwest’s best
private universities. It is located in Valparaiso, Indiana, the county seat with over 30,000 residents, featuring high-quality schools,
restaurants, and an active social community.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in
accounting with a primary focus on teaching managerial accounting. Candidates can also expect to teach courses in intermediate accounting
and either tax or audit. Prior teaching experience, including demonstrated effectiveness in both in-person and online classrooms, is highly
preferred. Candidates with accounting certifications such as CPA or CMA and relevant teaching experience may also be considered. This
position is expected to start in August 2026 and will involve teaching eight classes annually.
