The REET examination is a key eligibility test for recruitment into Primary (Level-1) and Upper Primary (Level-2) teaching positions in government schools across Rajasthan. Successful candidates will be eligible to participate in subsequent teacher recruitment processes based on their performance.

In 2024, as per reports, the REET saw a significant number of registrations and participants across all three levels. In Level 1, a total of 3,46,626 candidates registered, while 9,68,502 registered for Level 2, and 1,14,696 for Level 3. When it came to actual participation, 3,14,195 candidates appeared for Level 1, 8,79,671 for Level 2, and 92,767 for Level 3.
Out of those who appeared, 1,95,847 candidates qualified in Level 1, and 3,93,124 in Level 2. Additionally, 47,097 candidates managed to qualify in both levels. The pass percentage for Level 1 stood at 62.33%, while Level 2 recorded a pass rate of 44.69%, bringing the overall pass percentage to 50.77%.
