The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on January 17 and January 18 will be conducting the tier 2 Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examinations. Over 1.39 lakh candidates will be taking the SSC CGL 2025 tier 2 exams. The admit card for the SSC CGL 2025 tier 2 exams is available at ssc.gov.in.
The SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam 2026 will be conducted for 2 papers – paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 is compulsory for all posts and paper 2 is for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. The tier 2 SSC CGL paper 1 exam also comprises a Data Entry Speed Test (DEST).
SSC CGL Tier-2: Guidelines for DEST and Jan 19 exam
– Candidate must carry an original photo identity card having the same date of birth, including date, month and year as printed on the SSC CGL 2025 tier 2 admit card.
– If photo identity card does not have the same date of birth as mentioned in the admit card then the candidate must carry an additional certificate (in original) as proof of his/her date of birth.
– Candidates are advised not to write anything on the SSC CGL 2025 tier 2 admit card before coming to the exam venue, otherwise their entry to the examination venue will not be permitted.
– The candidates will be required to write in the required space on the admit card in the invigilator’s presence only after the first login.
– Candidates must not distort, fold and damage the barcode area.
– Candidates who have not verified themselves with Aadhaar during registration are required to report at the examination centre two hours before the scheduled start of examination.
– Candidates are instructed to ensure the proper exit verification after completion of the examination and before leaving the examination hall, failing which their candidature is liable to be cancelled.
DEST will comprise of one data entry task and will be held for 15 minutes duration for section 3 and section 4, each. Candidates eligible for scribe will get 20 minutes time to attempt the DEST. The Commission has uploaded a separate admit card for candidates attempting DEST on January 18.
SSC will be conducting the CGL mains exam on January 19. The paper will have three sections – Section 1, 2 and 3. Section 1 will comprise of questions in mathematical ability and reasoning and general intelligence, section 2 will comprise questions in English language and comprehension and general awareness. Section 3 is a computer knowledge test.
