Description
The School of Accountancy invites applications for one full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2026. We will consider candidates in any area.
Successful candidates will be expected to conduct high-quality research as evidenced by publications in top-tier academic journals and to participate in prominent national and international academic conferences. In addition, candidates will be expected to teach appropriate courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and participate in administrative activities, service activities, and professional interaction.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong research agenda and teaching expertise at the intersection of accounting and artificial intelligence, including areas such as data analytics, machine learning, and the use of AI in financial reporting, auditing, tax, or decision making. Relevant experience applying AI in professional or organizational settings such as developing, implementing, or consulting on AI-enabled accounting or analytics solutions is desirable. Contributing to innovative curriculum development and interdisciplinary collaboration that integrates AI tools and methods into accounting education and research is also expected.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Accounting expected by August 2026. Applicants must show promise of excellence in research and teaching, value collegiality, and desire to contribute to the Clemson community of accounting scholars.
