University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Accounting position beginning August 2026. This role
includes the opportunity to convert to a tenure-track Assistant Professor position upon successful review after the first
year.
The Breech School of Business is AACSB accredited and committed to high-quality, student-centered business education.
The position includes teaching at the undergraduate and MBA levels, with emphasis in financial and general accounting.
Candidates with interests in principles, intermediate, and advanced accounting are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach accounting courses and support student learning
- Mentor students
and contribute to experiential learning - Participate in service and AACSB-related processes
- For tenure-track
conversion: advise students and assist with enrollment planning - Engage in professional development; tenure-track
candidates maintain SA status
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in accounting or related field
- ABD considered
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness or strong potential
- Relevant industry experience
Preferred:
- Terminal degree (Ph.D./DBA)
- CPA
- Scholarly potential aligned with AACSB
standards
Faculty teach seven or eight courses annually, depending on AACSB classification.
