UGC NET December 2026 applications close tomorrow, October 28, at 11:50 pm. Candidates must submit the form and pay the fee within the regular window. A built-in late window runs October 29–31 with a Rs 500 surcharge. Expect heavy traffic; finish earlier to avoid payment or upload failures.
Your application counts only after the confirmation page is generated. If payment succeeds but the page fails, contact the bank or gateway, then pay again if required; verified duplicates are refunded later. Keep the confirmation printout and transaction proof. Fee payment via UPI, cards, or net-banking closes 11:50 pm.

UGC NET December 2026 deadline and who must act now
Apply today if you are filing fresh, fixing duplicate profiles, or nearing the Junior Research Fellowship age bar. JRF applicants must be under 30 years on December 1, 2026, with standard relaxations. Near-miss candidates should not risk the late window. Submit now and verify age claims carefully.
UGC NET 2026 fees and payment modes
Fees are Rs 1,150 for General, Rs 600 for General-Economically Weaker Section or Other Backward Classes Non-Creamy Layer, and Rs 325 for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Persons with Disabilities, and Third Gender. Pay only through integrated gateways using net-banking, credit or debit cards, or Unified Payments Interface.
Photo, signature and live-photo rules to avoid rejection
The portal requires a live photograph during form fill. Also upload a recent photo, 10–200 kb, with 80 percent face visible against a white background, and a signature, 10–50 kb. Use a webcam or scan the QR code. Ensure good lighting and visible ears.
Fixing name or date of birth mismatches, duplicates
Details like name, date of birth, category, disability status, and exam city choices become final after the correction window, November 2–4. NTA will not edit details later. Use Aadhaar verification where possible and maintain a single application. If errors persist, correct only within permitted fields.
What’s next: UGC NET 2026 correction window, city slip and admit card dates
After submission, watch three milestones. The correction window runs November 2–4. The exam city intimation slip releases November 23, and admit cards from December 7. Examinations are scheduled on December 14–18 and December 21, per the revised bulletin. Track the UGC-NET website for any updates.
